Machining of special screws
What is the machining of special screws ?
Machining is a family of techniques for manufacturing mechanical parts. The principle of machining consists in removing material, in order to give the raw part the desired shape, using a machine tool. By this technique, we obtain parts of great precision.
When machining a workpiece, the removal of material is accomplished by the conjunction of two relative movements between the workpiece and the tool : the cutting movement (cutting speed) and the feed movement (speed advanced).
There are two ways of generating the desired surface : for work of form or for envelope work. In the case of form work, it is the shape of the cutting edge of the tool that determines the surface obtained. In the case of envelope work, it is the conjunction of cutting and feed movements that defines the final surface.
Milling
The milling technique is available at VIAL Frères. It makes it possible to obtain tolerances lower than the standard or impossible to forge shapes as well as for very small series. We can resume milling, the head or the bodies of the forged parts or not.
Turning and rectification
Before rolling or following your technical specifications, we make a recovery on turn if the forms justify it (cone, spheres, grooves…)
